Tourist Travel Requirements for a Indonesia Visa for Australian Citizens

1. Eligibility and Documentation

   The Government of Indonesia utilises an electronic visa issuance system which is the equivalent to a visa, but no stamp or label is placed in the passport.

   To be eligible the traveller must:

   • Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
   • Hold proof of sufficient funds
   • Hold proof of onward/return flights
   • Hold proof of hotel reservation
   • Hold all documents required for the next destination

   
   To complete the order form the traveller must provide:

   • A copy of the passport information page
   • A photograph
   • A copy of hotel confirmation
   • A copy of the last three bank statements if applying for a visa with a stay duration of 60 days
     
   • A copy of your flight confirmation showing your return flight or a copy of your cruise confirmation

2. Duration of Stay

   The maximum duration of stay is 30 days.

   Passport nationalities subject to the e-Voa - Visa on Arrival can apply to extend for another one time 30 days at the local Immigration Office in the area where the foreign national stays. It cannot be converted to another type of stay / permit and is at the Indonesian Immigrations discretion if its approved.

3. Visa On Arrival

   A visa on arrival facility is available at this destination. The traveller must:

   • Arrive at one of the ports listed here
   • Hold a passport valid at least six months on entry with one blank visa page
   • Pay a fee of Rp. 500.000 upon arrival 
   • Hold proof of sufficient funds
   • Hold proof of onward/return airline tickets 
   • Confirm with their airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change
