Part of the visa application requires the applicant to complete an online visa form through the Nigerian Immigration Service website. During this process the applicant is required to pay the visa fee directly to the Nigerian government by credit card which also includes logging in or creating a Gmail, Yahoo or Open ID account.
There are anti-fraud measures in place for the use of credit cards on the online application site such as registration of the cardholder if the first and last name on the card does not match the applicant's name. Full details are provided online prior to commencing the application once logged in.

Alternatively, you may provide three colour, passport-type photographs that meets the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against an all-white background and printed on high-quality photo paper; be 45mm (h) by 35mm (w); provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes. Your photos should be glued to the designated section of the visa application form (in the absence of a designated area, affix to the top right or top left corner).

Evidence of available funds. This should be provided as a copy of the applicants bank statement for the last six months showing a minimum balance of AUD1000.00. The bank statement must be in the name of applicant and on bank letterhead.
