Visa Validity
Visa is valid from the date of issue. Entry must be made within the validity date specified on the visa, and the date of exit can be after the expiry date of the visa.
The validity of the issued visa is at the discretion of the Embassy/Consulate and may vary to that advertised.
Duration of Stay
The maximum duration of stay is:
- Single Entry - 90 days
- Multiple Entry - 90 days per entry

Passport
The applicant's actual passport. The passport must:
- Be valid for six months beyond exit date
- Have two blank facing visa pages
Photograph(s)
One passport sized colour photograph. The photograph must:
- Be taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality photo paper
- Be taken against an all white background
- Be 45mm (h) by 35 mm (w)
- Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
- You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes
- Your photo should be glued to the designated section of the visa application form (in the absence of a designated area, affix to the top right or top left corner).
Business Introduction Letter
You are required to provide a Business Introduction Letter from your Australian-based company. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays an Australia mailing address. Use the sample Business Introduction Letter provided at https://visasdirect.com.au/forms?formname=Business-Introduction-Letter-Sample.pdf using the exact language and format provided in order to prevent a rejection and possible delays with your visa request.
In addition to what is in the sample, your Business Introduction Letter must include:- Specify that a ‘Non-Immigrant "B" Visa" is required and stipulating the requested number of entries (either single or multiple)
- List at least two entry dates to Thailand, otherwise a single entry visa will be issued.(for multiple entry visa applications)
Letter of Invitation
A letter of invitation from the applicants host. A copy is acceptable. This letter must:
- Be addressed to the Royal Thai Consulate-General
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the name of the applicant
- Specify the purpose of journey
- Include the name, address and telephone number of the organisation(s) to be visited, as well as a contact person's name
- Specify that a ‘Non-Immigrant Visa ‘B' single entry' visa is required
- State the dates of the planned trip
- State minimum TWO entry dates of the planned trip if apply for multiple entry
- Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
- Be dated and signed by the applicants host
Photocopy of Certain Application Materials
Photocopies of the following document(s) must be submitted:
- One COLOR copy of the information page(s) of the applicants passport
- VisasDirect can supply this requirement at a fee of $2.50 + GST per page if not received with the application. This will minimise the risk of delay for successful visa issuance.
Bank Statement
This must be provided as one of the following documents:
- A current dated Official Bank Statement on bank letterhead covering the last six (6) months, This must show a minimum of AUD $5,000.00 per person and showing the applicants full name
- A current dated Official Credit Card Statement on bank/credit card company letterhead covering the last six (6) months. This must show the current balance and credit card limit of AUD $5,000.00, and showing the applicants full name
- A letter of guarantee from the applicant's employer confirming that all expenses related to the applicant's travel will be covered. A company Bank Statement must be included, showing funds not less than AUD 25,000 that should be in the bank account for the last six months
Company Registration
You must include a copy of the Thailand company registration certificate(i.e. Company Registration Affidavit ) or Tax Registration Certificate.
Proof of Travel Arrangements
Details of travel arrangements. These must be provided as a copy of the flight confirmation showing exact entry and exit dates and locations.
Proof of Residency
Applicants must provide proof of residency in Australia. This can be provided in the form of a colour copy of the applicant's ID card (student card, driver's license) issued by Australian authorities.
Visa Application Form
One fully completed and signed application form with an original signature (do not print double sided).
While completing the visa application form, please keep in mind that non-immigrant (business or student) visa applicants must:
- Sign above the "Attention to Tourist and Transit Visa Applicants" box, where there are signature and date fields; located under Question 19
- "Proposed Address in Thailand"-must enter a proposed address, cannot be left blank
- "(First Entry)" -must enter proposed dates, cannot be left blank

Visa May Not Be Required
Visa exempt for a stay of up to 30 days. The traveller must:.
Please keep in mind that even if staying less than 30 days, you must:
- Hold a passport valid a least six months on entry with one blank visa page
- Hold proof of sufficient funds for the duration of stay
- Hold proof of onward/return flight
- Hold all documents required for the next destination
- Hold a Visa for the next destination, if required
- Confirm with the airline that boarding will be permitted without a visa as these conditions are subject to change
For stays exceeding 30 days, a visa is required and must be obtained prior to arrival. Please refer to the VisasDirect application pack for details.
Entering by land or sea: If the traveller enters Thailand overland/oversea at an immigration checkpoint which borders Thailand’s neighbouring countries i.e. Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia and Myanmar; they will be allowed to stay for a period not exceeding 15 days on each visit. They will be required to provide evidence of outbound travel and evidence of sufficient funds for their stay.

- Indicate a minimum balance of AUD 1,000 that should be in the bank account for the last 6 months
- Bear official bank logo/stamp and indicate bank contact details
Proof of Residency
Applicants must provide proof of residency in Australia. This can be provided in the form of a colour copy of the applicant's ID card (student card, driver's license) issued by Australian authorities.
Visa Application Form

- A current dated Official Credit Card Statement on bank/credit card company letterhead covering the last six (6) months, illustrating the current balance and credit card limit of AUD $10,000.00, and showing the applicants full name
